Certificate Renewal
Certificate Renewal Request Form.
Digital certificates emitted by ACEDICOM have validity periods of between 2 and 4 years depending on the type of certificate:
- Qualified certificate of signature on secure centralised device (4 years)
- Qualified certificate of signature on secure centralised device for electronic invoicing and certified storage (4 years)
- Qualified certificate of signature on secure Smart Card device (2 years)
- Qualified certificate of signature on software support (2 years)
For the renewal of 4 year certificates, the presentation of all the documentation will again be necessary, as stipulated in Law 59/2003 Article 13, so the procedure is equivalent to a new application.
For the renewal of 2 year certificates, the presentation or sending by electronic mail of the "Certificate Renewal Application" document signed by the applicant will be sufficient. In the event of sending by e-mail, the request must be signed with a Qualified certificate (which may be that of the certificate to be renewed or not) as long as no more than 4 years have transpired since the last identification of the same to the Registration Authority .
The renewal may be requested at any time during the validity period of the certificate.
